Your weekly gossip on who's raising, investing, and building,
from Silicon Valley to India, Inc.
How the digest is curated
Keeping Up with the Capital is a weekly set of notes on venture capital and startups, read through an Indian lens. A new edition goes up every Friday at 6 PM IST and covers the week from Saturday to Friday.
Who writes it
Each edition is researched and written by AI (Claude, made by Anthropic), following a fixed set of editorial rules. The owner of this site sets those rules and corrects editions when needed, but doesn't write them.
What it tries to do
Not list every funding round, but answer one question: what is the money telling us this week? That means looking at valuations, investors, exits, how concentrated capital is getting, founder moves and new investment theses, and connecting them.
How it's checked
- Every fact links to its source, and every source is opened and read before it's used.
- Figures that a company hasn't confirmed are marked as reported.
- The digest makes directional calls about where things seem to be heading, but doesn't forecast specific outcomes, prices or dates.
- When a view is contested, the strongest opposing view is included, with its source.
Memory
Any investor, company or theme that appears in two or more editions gets its own memory page, collecting every mention in one place. The number next to each name in the sidebar is how many editions it has appeared in.
Corrections
Mistakes get fixed in the edition itself.
Not investment advice
Nothing here is investment, legal or financial advice. It's notes, not recommendations.
